How to Create a QR Code
A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that can be scanned by smartphone cameras to quickly access a website or other digital content. QR codes are widely used in marketing, product packaging, and event materials.
Creating a QR Code
- Go to our QR Code Studio at /qr-code.
- Enter the URL or text you want to encode.
- Customize the colors, error correction level, and margin size.
- Preview the QR code in real-time.
- Download as a high-resolution PNG (1024px) or scalable SVG vector.
Best Practices for QR Codes
- Use vector formats (SVG) for print materials to ensure sharp edges at any size.
- Use PNG formats for digital displays and web use.
- Choose a high error correction level (H) for print materials that may get damaged or dirty.
- Ensure sufficient contrast between the QR code and its background.
- Maintain minimum physical sizing (at least 2 × 2 cm or 0.8 × 0.8 inches) for print media. You can calibrate and measure exact on-screen scale with an online real ruler before running batch prints.
- Test the QR code with multiple devices before distributing it.
What Can You Encode?
QR codes can store URLs, plain text, phone numbers, email addresses, and WiFi credentials. Our QR Code Studio supports all of these formats, making it easy to create codes for any purpose.
